El Moviment Zeitgeist (Part 1)
«El sistema econòmic actual està col·lapsant i la destrucció del medi ambient ha arribat a un punt irreversible. Les persones hem d’adonar-nos de que no només necessitem moure’ns cap a una altra direcció, també hem de fer-ho.
Està clar que molts dels qui consideren les idees a dalt presentades es preguntaran a sovint: com podem aconseguir-ho tenint en compte el distorsionat sistema de valors que actualment opera?, com duem a terme el moviment i la transició? Aquestes són, sense dubte, les preguntes més difícils. La resposta: hem de començar en algun moment. Hi ha moltes coses que una simple persona pot fer.
El 15 de març («dia Z» com fou anomenat en 2008) hi haurà accions a nivell mundial per expandir la consciència d’aquesta direcció sociològica. Esperem tenir trobades regionals allà on siga possible: ciutats, estats, països. Nosaltres ací a thezeitgestmovement.com treballarem per a proveir els materials en tantes llengües com puguem, fent tot el possible per ajudar a cada subgrup. Nosaltres mai demanarem diners. Estem ací per a ajudar: quan més dones, més reps. Gràcies per la teua ajuda».
Així es presenta en la seua web el Moviment Zeitgest, fundat l’any 2008 per Peter Joseph. Zeitgeist és una expressió idiomàtica alemanya que significa «l’esperit (Geist) del temps (Zeit)«. Així doncs, denota el clima intel·lectual i cultural d’una era.
El moviment, que en març de 2009 contava ja amb 250.000 membres, naix arrel de la pel·lícula produïda, escrita i narrada pel propi Peter Joseph. El seu nom? Zeitgeist, com no. El polèmic documental, que qüestiona el cristianisme (1a part), la manipulació i l’adoctrinament mediàtics (2a part), i la política i el capitalisme (3a part), fou estrenat en la primavera del 2007 exclusivament via on-line, de forma gratuïta (a la pàgina pròpia del moviment i a Google Video. Veiem que es tracta de conscienciació i canvi social a través dels mitjans cibernètics, enllaçant així amb el nostre blog de CIBERACTIVISME). Només un any després, en octubre de 2008, es presentà de la mateixa forma la segona part, Zeitgeist: Addendum, que s’ocupa principalment de la crítica al sistema financer mundial, a més de respondre algunes de les preguntes plantejades a la primera part. En aquests temps de pensament únic, Peter Joseph ens avisa: no tot és el que sembla. Una tercera pel·lícula, titulada Zeitgeist III, té prevista la seua estrena per octubre de 2010. Segons l’autor, aquesta es centrarà en conceptes de teories conspiratives per al control social.
Peter Joseph diu que dessitjava centrar-se en el comportament humà, l’ús de la tecnologia i de la raó. Així, les seues produccions subratllen els problemes socials manifestats en l’actual sistema econòmic i ofereixen possibles solucions -fregant la utopia, afegisc jo-.
Sobre aquests ciments naix el Moviment Zeitgeist, que en febrer de 2009 publicà la guia activista orientativa «El Movimiento Zeitgeist- Observaciones y Respuestas«, signada pel citat Peter Joseph i Roxanne Meadows i Jacque Fresco (ambdós «ideadors» del Projecte Venus, amb el lema «Más allá de los políticos, la pobreza y la guerra»).
En aquest document, llegim que «el Moviment Zeitgeist no és un moviment polític. No reconeix nacions, governs, races, religions, credos o classes (…) Es tracta de conscienciar, en vocació d’una progressió fluïda evolutiva, combinant allò personal, allò social, allò tecnològic i allò espiritual (…) La meta és modificar la societat mundial d’acord al coneixement actual en tots els nivells, no només creant consciència de les possibilitats socials i tecnològiques que molts han vist «impossibles» o «contra natura», sinó també proveint dels mitjans per a superar eixos elements en la societat que perpetuen els sistemes antics (…) El camí d’aquest moviment és crear primer una consciència popular a escala global. Açò es redueix a la comunicació. Aquells que pensem en aquesta direcció hem de treballar per a difondre eixes idees. La humanitat primer ha de ser conscient d’eixa direcció social abans de prendre qualsevol tipus d’acció.
A més de difondre consciència, el nostre enfocament també deu centrar-se en l’exposició contínua dels fraus i corrupcions socials que són constantment amassades al si de la nostra societat. La comunicació, combinada amb una rebel·lió social pacífica, és la clau» (pàg. 80 de la guia).
